I have always tried to support people and businesses that reflect my values. As a business owner, I feel an even greater responsibility to put my money and support where my values are. And, so far, I’m feeling really good about my partnerships in this venture as innkeeper. A few business values I hold most dear include transparency, efficiency, people over profit, sustainability, supporting the local community, and uplifting all people – including women, BIPOC and LBGTQ+. Here, I’d like to give a shout out to some of the amazing businesses I have partnered with or who have been supportive of me in this new venture:
Honor Credit Union – a local bank that has provided amazingly personal service
Gravity Payments – putting purpose and people above profit
Leo & Laine – local women-owned marketing firm
Black Currant Bake House – local bakery making up the most delicious breakfast treats, coffee drinks and vegetarian lunches and lucky for me, located just up the street from Garden Grove in Union Pier
Red Arrow Roasters – Small, independently owned coffee roaster brewing the best cup of coffee in town (located in Harbert)
Creative Sage Cottage – Magical cottage full of delightful treasures and positive vibes (located in Union Pier)
Poppy Hill Vintage – Wonderfully curated vintage shop in Three Oaks, MI owned by a woman passionate about beautiful antiques
Meliora Cleaning Products – Making people and planet friendly cleaning products in Chicago
